WELCOME IN AMSTERDAM ON THE LUCKY PIPER

A stay in our houseboat is an unforgettable experience.
The Lucky Piper lies along the Zeeburgerpad, right near to the Funen windmill where microbrewery ‘het Ij’ is located in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood. The brewery has a tasting room, open for beer sampling from Wednesday to Sunday.

The houseboat lies on the edge of downtown Amsterdam. It is easily accessible by car or by public transit. Buses and trams run every ten minutes and the nearest stop is just a three minute walk from the Lucky Piper.

We also rent bicycles and a cycle into town takes five minutes. It is also possible to go on foot, past Artis Magistralis – Amsterdam’s zoo – and along the former VOC warehouses to Waterlooplein, the best-known open air market in the Netherlands. The walk takes but ten of fifteen minutes, or longer if you take the time to enjoy one of the many café terraces you pass along the way.

Jan, the boat owner, would be glad to take you on a bicycle tour of Amsterdam or on a boat tour through Amsterdam’s canals.

In case you would like to see more than just Amsterdam, Jan also offers his services as guide and private chauffeur to places such as Volendam, the Keukenhof, Antwerp, Brussels, Cologne or Achen.

We wish you a stress-free and unforgettable stay in the Netherlands and hope to see you and your friends again soon on our houseboat.
